Organizations: Opens the Organizations form where
you enter your organization and location.
Members: Opens the Members form where you enter your
members.
Bill Types: Opens the Bill Types form where you
enter your Bill Type names and Bill Type abbreviations.
Get Text: This button imports 2 Excel Spreadsheets
into the program. They need to be in "C:\Program Files\ctrvoterx" directory.
a. Regular.xls: This file contains 2 columns of data Bill Number and Title.
When you click the button whatever data you have put into this spreadsheet is
imported for use during new votes The Bill Number or Letter, depending on what
you use, will appear in a box titled Regular on the New Vote screen. When you
select an item from the list the associated title will appear in the Title box.
b. Consent.xls: Works exactly like Regular. It is provided for those
organizations that avail themselves of Consent voting.
c. On the Voting form you can toggle back and forth between the boxes by
selecting either Regular or Consent on the bottom of the screen. Regular is the
default.
Get List of Speakers: This button imports an Excel
Spreadsheets into the program. Spk_Top.xls: This file contains 3 columns of
data First Name, Last Name and Topic. When you click the button whatever data
you have put into this spreadsheet is imported for use with the Speaker Timer.
Back Up Settings: Opens the Back Up Settings form.
This is provided so that you may backup your data file at the end of each
session. It is set to use "C:\Program Files\ctrvotex\ctr_data.mdb" as the
location of your data file and "G:\v1_bup\" as the backup destination. You
should change the backup destination to whatever you need. The "Backup Data
File" button on the Main Switchboard runs this procedure. You should run it at
the close of your day. The file is saved in this format "mmddyy.mdb".
Example: "070305.mdb".
Registration: Opens the Registration form.
Where you enter your company's name, the first and last name and E-Mail address
of your organizations contact person and the Registration Code, which is
provided with the software.
Close: Closes the Utilities form.
